Industrial robots are mechanical devices for industrial applications. They can perform tasks automatically and complete various operations relying on their own power and control capabilities. Amid the revolution driven by artificial intelligence, industrial robots play a vital role. How to enable robots to replace humans to work faster and more efficiently, further liberate labor and boost production efficiency has become a key question pondered across the entire robotics sector.
China’s industrial robot industry started late yet has developed rapidly. Over the past three years, China has grown into the world’s largest market for industrial robots. Robots have gradually become an important sector for lifting China’s overall competitiveness. A host of outstanding domestic industrial robot enterprises have emerged. Companies represented by SIASUN and ESTUN continuously fuel the growth of China’s robotics industry. Below is a review of the top ten domestic industrial robot manufacturers and how their robots power Intelligent Manufacturing in China!

Founded in 1994, Wuhan Huazhong Numerical Control Co., Ltd. is an enterprise affiliated with Huazhong University of Science and Technology. It initially focused on CNC machine tools and benefited from superior high-level resources. As a university-run enterprise, it features sophisticated technologies. Since both CNC machine tools and automation training require hands-on operation, HNC’s early customers were domestic schools. However, non-standardization and poor universality created substantial market barriers. Relying on its early foundation, HNC is now forging ahead in the robotics sector.
Huazhong Numerical Control has established Shenzhen Huashu Robot Co., Ltd., Chongqing Huashu Robot Co., Ltd., Quanzhou Huashu Robot Co., Ltd., Foshan Huashu Robot Co., Ltd. and the Wuhan Robotics Division through integration and cooperation, fully implementing its PLC strategic plan. It has developed four series with 27 specifications of complete robot products, built dozens of automated production lines for stamping, injection molding, machining, welding, spraying, grinding and polishing, and developed nearly ten types of core robot components including robot controllers, teach pendants, servo drives and servo motors. Mass sales of its industrial robots have been realized. In addition, subsidiaries in Ningbo, Shenyang, Xiangyang, Ezhou and other locations carry out industrial robot and automation businesses.
In 2017, HNC’s industrial robot business achieved a revenue growth rate of 204.18%, becoming its largest revenue contributor, accounting for 38.96% of total revenue.
5. Guangzhou CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. (GCNC)
